CESENA FIERA of Italy and IFEMA of Spain, representing the main fruit & vegetables producer and exporter countries have come to a collaboration agreement to create a new global brand for the fruit and vegetable sector, MAC FRUIT ATTRACTION, with the aim of developing professional industry events in strategic markets.

The organizers of these industry-leading events, MACFRUT - Fruit & Veg Professional Show in Italy and FRUIT ATTRACTION, the International Trade Show for the Fruit and Vegetable Industry in Spain, are creating this new platform which will encourage the positioning and international professional network of fruit and vegetable companies with direct access to new strategic markets, which will allow them to contact local operators and the area of influence. This will make MAC FRUIT ATTRACTION into a global brand with high international convening power which adapts to the particular needs of each market.

The first edition of MAC FRUIT ATTRACTION will be held in Cairo from 4 to 7 May 2016 as part of FoodAfrica following an agreement reached with IFP Group, the largest trade fair operator in the Near East, meaning it will cover the Middle East and North Africa.

Companies from Italy, Spain, Lebanon, Egypt, Turkey and many other European countries have already confirmed participation to this premiere show in Egypt and Africa.

Renzo Piraccini, president of MacFrut, affirmed that "the internationalization of the fruit and vegetable sector is being achieved through specific development plans for the global market, and both Fruit Attraction and Macfrut are platforms which take this direction". Also, he added that "the creation of this new project, Mac Fruit Attraction, which came from the synergy between the two world leaders in production and wrapping and packaging technologies, will lead companies in the industry to new emerging markets and to develop the internationalization in the Gulf, North of Africa, South America and Asia".

Raúl Calleja, director of Fruit Attraction, underlined that "Mac Fruit Attraction aims to grow and establish itself in the global fresh produce market, allying itself with strategic partners in local markets of relevance to the sector. A young, dynamic and flexible new network which knows how to adapt to the specific needs of each market".

According to the organizers of FoodAfrica, IFP Egypt, opportunities abound for the international fruit and vegetable industry in Egypt, an area of influence which is very active and dynamic in production, import and export of fruit and vegetables.
