The Doha Festival City, Qatar’s largest entertainment, retail and dining destination, opened on Wednesday providing visitors a world class shopping experience.
The $1.8 billion complex, spread over 433,847 square meters of land, was developed and is owned by Bawabat Al-Shamal Real Estate Company (Basrec).
Basrec is a joint venture Dubai-based Al-Futtaim Real Estate Services, Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB), Aqar Real Estate Investment Company and a private Qatari investor.
Al-Futtaim Group Real Estate (AFGRE), which already owns and successfully manages Festival City malls in Dubai and Cairo will be the manager and operator of the Doha mall too.
Doha Festival City is strategically located in the north of Doha with direct access from Al Shamal and Lusail Roads.
It is accessible from most areas of the city in less than 20 minutes, with around 8,000 parking spaces, a 5-star hotel and a convention center.

The landmark destination covers more than 240,000 square meters of gross leasable area, which can accommodate more than 500 retail units, including leading international and local brands.
