A total of 18 petrochemical projects have been introduced to China for financing, so far four of them including Sabalan, Lordegan, Bushehr and Masjed Soleyman petrochemical projects have been funded.
In statements to shana.ir, managing director of the National Petrochemical Company (NPC) Abbas Sheri Moqaddam further said there are great potentials for development of petrochemical industry and that is why NPC should invite foreign investors to take part in petrochemical projects of the country along with domestic investors.
According to NPC chief 18 petrochemical plans have been introduced to National Development Fund (NDF) to receive funds including Andimeshk, Sadaf, Ilam, Salman Farsi, Petrochimia, Fasa, Jahrom, Darab, Miandoab, Gachsaran, Golestan, Ardabil, Siraf, Zanjan and Kaveh projects.
He added that among the uncompleted petrochemical projects, Kaveh petrochemical plant's progress as the largest producer of methanol in the world is satisfactory which is expected to come online next year.
