In this September, Global aviation industry giants are expected to visit Iraq for attending major events. Industry giants will have a chance to explore Iraq’s potential in aviation industry, which is undergoing redevelopment with massive investment to get tuned up. According to the sources, the amount of investment is around $150 billion airports, aviation & logistics infrastructural projects.
Iraq Minister of Transport Hadi Al Ameri said that the Iraqi government had a clear vision to establish amazing as well as exclusive airways infrastructure in the country.
He also added, "Iraq's major airports infrastructure enhancement program is underway and provincial governments are upgrading existing airports as well as planning the construction of new airports to cater the growing demand."
Capacity, integration and security of the existing network – are the three major objectives of the transport ministry of Iraq so that the aviation sector can get streamlined. He is hopeful that investments in this sector will rejuvenate the economy of the country, by contributing significantly into the GDP of the country.
According to transport minister of Iraq, Mr. Al Ameri, Iraq presently needs funding, as well as adequate expertise support from the private sectors or foreign companies for making the transport system more robust in the country.
