The 18th edition of Saudi Power, the leading international trade exhibition for power in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, concluded on a successful note with hundreds of local and international companies and over 5246 professionals attending the show. The event kept exhibitors and visitors abreast with the latest industry updates and market developments, providing a unique platform to view the energy sector’s latest equipment and services, develop global partnerships, and generate new business opportunities.
The KSA has the world’s largest oil reserves and largest oil exploration sites. It has succeeded in creating a robust, dynamic economy and establishing itself as one of the most enterprising nations in the region. Over the last decade, the country has registered an 8 per cent annual increase in electricity demand. With the number of subscribers rising by an average of 5.2 per cent, the country plans to increase its electricity generating capacity to 120 gigawatts by 2032 to meet rapidly growing demand.
The show received professionals from government entities, energy companies, developers, service providers, major industrial enterprises, distributors and retailers. In a poll conducted by the Riyadh Exhibitions Company, the organizers of the event, the exhibitors lauded the strategic importance of the show in providing an excellent opportunity for local and international companies to communicate with their industry counterparts and promote awareness of their brands. The event also gave them the opportunity to promote their products and services to a wide range of potential customers and partners in Saudi Arabia and other countries in the region and the world.
Khalid Daou, Marketing Manager, Saudi Power, said: “This year’s Saudi Power was highly successful, driven by more growth and competitiveness across the energy sector which will consequently support the KSA’s economic development. Aside from providing new opportunities, the show helped in increasing awareness on the most recent developments and provided a deeper insight about the industry’s highly innovative technologies. Visitors were not only able to see and receive first-hand demonstrations of new products but were able to source new equipment and services from local and international suppliers. We are extremely happy with the outcome of the Saudi Power as we were able to achieve our goals.”
The show included a series of specialized events and activities, which provided an integrated platform for the participants to leverage their portfolio of products, services and technologies in front of their target audience and get to see the latest trends and emerging challenges in the sector and the disclosure of the new global innovations in the energy industry. In addition, the event helped in consolidating the bonds of trade relations and building new partnerships with decision-makers and industry leaders around the world, especially in Saudi Arabia, which would contribute effectively to support the efforts to keep up with the growing demand for energy services in the local and regional market.
The 18th edition of Saudi Power took place from May 11 to 13, 2015 at the Riyadh International Convention & Exhibition Center under the patronage of the Saudi Minister of Water and Electricity. It was jointly organized by Riyadh Exhibitions Company Limited (REC), the leading promoter of trade events in the KSA with a portfolio of 12 specialized exhibitions and conferences, and Informa Exhibitions, organizer of over 150 international trade and consumer exhibitions.
