The Public Authority for Industry's (PAI) participation in the 12th Project Qatar exhibition – "Project 2015" for Construction Technology and Building Materials comes to encourage national industries in order to increase national exports to foreign markets.
Director of promotion and export opportunities at PAI Zainab Abdullah Hussein said in remarks to KUNA on Tuesday that the Kuwaiti participation with a pavilion gathering national industries in the exhibition comes to encourage the national production and to present it in the international market and especially in the Gulf besides other Arab countries like Iraq, Egypt and Palestine.
Qatar will be a target for a large number of businessmen from all over the world regarding the current construction of huge projects there, besides hosting leading intentional events like World Cup 2020.
Director of exhibitions and promotional activities at PAI Nasser Al-Mutiari told KUNA that PAI is working to increase the Kuwaiti exports as a step to find an alternative source for national income and to offer new job opportunities to the youth.
The Kuwaiti participation contributes in marketing national products in regional and international markets, he added.
Kuwait is participating in Project Qatar for the seventh time with a pavilion gathering a large number of national companies on an area of 288 square meters.
Project Qatar is an international trade exhibition for construction technology, building materials, equipment and environmental technology. It is an international melting-pot of business contacts, a high-powered cosmopolitan hub where East meets West, a blend of different cultures and a magnet for high-power international investment. Decision makers of the construction and financing industry will meet here for presentation of their products, services and companies and establish new business contacts.
