Jordan Enterprise Development Corporation (JEDCO) has officially announced its support to Erbil International Fair 2013. JEDCO Chief Executive Officer Eng. Yarub Qudah said: "We are very pleased to participate in this exhibition. At JEDCO, we believe it is essential for Jordanian companies to be constantly present at key exhibition such as this one." 46 Jordanian companies with representatives from the construction, chemicals, textiles, health, engineering, agricultural and cosmetic sectors are participating in EIF 2013 covering an area of 450 sqm.
The Erbil International Multi-Sector Trade Fair, which has been held yearly for the past nine years, is considered one of the most prominent specialized business events that take place annually in the region in order to stimulate and develop trade between Kurdistan and the rest of Iraq on one hand, and among neighboring states and the Asian, European, and American countries on the other.
Jordanian companies which have participated in Erbil’s fair last year have started exporting their products to Erbil and some companies have found commercial agents, the Jordan Enterprise Development Corporation (JEDCO) said. In the statement, JEDCO’s CEO Yarub Qudah said JEDCO is working to support Jordanian companies and boost their exports to global and international markets. Forty nine local companies have participated in the Jordanian pavilion at Erbil International Fair 2012.
He also highlighted the importance of Jordanian participation in the event which enabled local companies to benefit from expertise exchange and to take the opportunity to promote and market their products and services and to sign commercial deals.
He also added that Jordan’s participation at Erbil’s Fair is considered as a vital step to promote Jordanian products and to increase their presence in the Iraqi Market, several participating Jordanian companies signed export & franchising contracts at the exhibition besides starting a full distribution plan in Erbil.
