Jordan and Qatar discussed Qatar's contribution to the a $5 billion grant for Jordan that was endorsed by the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) as well as projects that will be funded by the Qatari grant.
Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Jafar Hassan stressed during a meeting with the Qatari Minister of Economy and Finance Yousef Hussein Kamal, the strong ties between Jordan and the Arab Gulf state which are developing progressively thanks to His Majesty King Abdullah II and the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifah Al Thani.
He said projects that will be funded by the Qatari grant focus on the local development and governorates sector with 60 percent, energy 15 percent, transport 10 percent, and health and education 15 percent.
The minister added that a Qatari technical team will visit the Kingdom over the next period to discuss proposed projects.
