A total of 61 companies submitted bids to construct fuel storage station east Jordan, with a capacity of up to 300,000 tons of fuel derivatives. Construction of the station will be funded through a grant from Abu Dhabi development fund, as part of gulf aid to help Jordan improve its infrastructure.
The station would also be able to store up to 8000 tons of liquid gas and to house loading and unloading terminals, anti-fire system and electricity generating station.
It will also be equipped with water treatment system and other environment friendly needs, according to ministry of natural resources. The project is expected to start construction next year and end by 2015.
