A new Arab Advisors Group's survey of cellular users in the Lebanon reveals insightful details on the smartphones adoption and usage patterns. The survey also probed general cellular usage habits, smartphones awareness in addition to tablets availability among cellular users in Lebanon. Lebanon smartphone survey follows the four smartphone survey reports concluded in Jordan, UAE, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.
The Arab Advisors Group concluded a ground breaking survey of cellular users in Lebanon probing smartphones adoption and usage. The survey revealed that 37.1% of the total cellular handsets in Lebanon are smartphones. The majority of smartphone users who use applications prefer them in the English language.
A new major cellular phone survey of cellular users in Lebanon was conducted by the Arab Advisors Group during March and April of 2012. The survey report, "Lebanon Smartphone Survey 2012" was released on May 30, 2012. The survey covered general cellular usage habits; smartphone adoption and usage patterns; smartphone awareness, cellular handset brands and models in addition to tablets availability among respondents. The report has 53 pages and 63 exhibits.

Respondents were randomly called through a randomly generated table of cellular phone numbers for each of the two cellular operators in Lebanon: MTC Touch and Alfa. The survey results encompass answers from 750 cellular users that passed rigorous quality control checks. Quality control was conducted by Arab Advisors Group's team. The survey yields a confidence level of 99% with a margin of error of less than 5%.
"When respondents were asked about their cellular handset brands, Nokia was in the lead. Moreover, amongst households that use tablets, Apple's iPad was the leader." Ms. Noura Abdulhadi, Arab Advisors Project Manager, commented.
