Saudi Minister of Finance Dr. Ibrahim Al-Assaf signed seven contracts recently totaling SR320 million ($85 million) to finance the construction of education and health facilities in various parts of the Kingdom, according to a report carried by local media.
The first two contracts are for the building and furnishing of two private hospitals in Riyadh costing SR106.07 million and SR149.14 million, with a capacity of 165 beds and 300 beds respectively.
Another three contracts signed by the minister include the construction of educational projects in Dammam for boys costing SR18.82 million, Riyadh for boys costing SR21 million and Dammam for girls at a cost of SR11 million.
The remaining two contracts were allocated for the construction of two educational facilities for males and females in Al-Kharj, south of Riyadh, costing SR11.71 million and SR12.51 million respectively, the report said.
