A total of 76 mosques are being built in the various municipalities across Qatar at an estimated cost of QR360 million ($99 million), according to the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs.
This includes a large mosque in Al Dafna, a seaside district of the capital Doha, which is scheduled to open soon, said a statement from the ministry.
The ministry has maintained and expanded 18 mosques and imams’ accommodations in different areas at a cost of about QR1 million
