Qatar’s Public Works Authority (Ashghal) is in the bid evaluation phase for the Renad Academy project, a specialized educational facility in Education City that will serve students with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). The tender for the design and construction contract was issued on 7 January, with an original bid deadline of 20 February, later extended to 14 May 2024.
According to a source, the contract is expected to be awarded by mid-October 2024, with an estimated value of $70 million. The project covers the construction of a school building and related amenities on a 36,210-square-meter plot. As part of the Education City Master Plan, the academy will offer an inclusive environment tailored to the needs of students with ASC. The facility is expected to be completed and operational by the fourth quarter of 2026.
