From December 3 to 5, 2024, the Egypt International Exhibition Center (EIEC) in Cairo will host the highly anticipated Food Africa and pacprocess MEA 2024 trade fairs. These events will showcase cutting-edge innovations in the food and packaging industries, with an expanded footprint to meet growing demand.
Expanded Exhibition Space
To accommodate increased participation, Food Africa will add a fifth hall, increasing its total exhibition area to 44,000 square meters—an impressive 4,000 square meter expansion. This growth reflects the fairs’ significance as premier hubs for the food and packaging sectors in the MEA region, attracting over 1,000 exhibitors from 35 countries.
Key Highlights
- Global Representation: The fairs will feature 14 country pavilions, with new participants including Slovakia, the Netherlands, Georgia, and the United States. pacprocess MEA will host its largest German pavilion to date, featuring 16 exhibitors, alongside first-time participants from Slovenia.
- Diverse Exhibition Areas: Food Africa will spotlight a range of sectors, including beverages, frozen foods, organic products, fresh produce, seafood, and confectionery. Specialized sections like Dates Africa, Fresh Africa, and Seafood Africa will further enrich the experience.
- International Participation: pacprocess MEA will welcome renowned companies such as Multivac, Theegarten-Pactec, Hänsel Processing, and Wipotec, with first-time exhibitors like Leistritz Extrusionstechnik.
Support for SMEs and Hosted Buyers
The fairs will provide platforms for over 500 hosted buyers, facilitating high-value business connections. Dedicated initiatives for SMEs and startups will include specialized platforms and business matchmaking opportunities, ensuring meaningful engagement for all participants.

- Food Africa Conference: This program will address key challenges in export strategies, logistics, and SME promotion within the food and agriculture sectors.
- pacprocess MEA Conference: Sessions will explore sustainable packaging solutions, circular economy strategies, food safety, and emerging consumer trends in packaging technology and automation. The Women in Packaging initiative will also highlight the contributions of women professionals in Egypt’s packaging industry.
