Qatar’s Minister of Finance, H.E. Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari, presented the draft state budget for the 2025 fiscal year during the Shura Council’s regular weekly session, chaired by Speaker H.E. Hassan bin Abdulla Al Ghanim at Tamim bin Hamad Hall.
The presentation outlined the budget’s strategic focus on enhancing developmental spending, promoting economic sustainability, and prioritizing key sectors such as healthcare, education, and infrastructure.
Following the presentation, the Minister addressed questions from council members on various budget allocations. The Speaker praised the Ministry of Finance for its comprehensive approach, highlighting the draft budget’s balanced vision of investing in critical sectors while ensuring fiscal sustainability.
He emphasized that the budget reflects the prudent leadership of Amir H.H. Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, underscoring the emphasis on healthcare, education, and infrastructure as essential pillars of Qatar’s National Vision 2030.
Shura Council members commended the draft budget’s focus on advancing public services, supporting strategic investments, and driving development projects aimed at improving citizens’ quality of life. They also expressed appreciation for the nation’s progress under the Amir’s leadership and underscored the importance of building on these achievements to meet the aspirations of Qatar’s citizens and enhance the country’s global standing.
