Iraq has become the second-largest developer of oil pipelines globally, trailing only China, with a total of 4,100 kilometers in development by the end of 2024, according to the U.S. Energy Agency. Of this network, 1,155 kilometers are currently under construction, while 2,855 kilometers are in the planning phase. Meanwhile, Iraq’s Oil Ministry is advancing efforts to boost offshore export capacity with a new pipeline project at the Port of Faw.
