Vietnamese President Tran Dai Quang said that he held successful talks with his Egyptian counterpart Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
The talks took up enhancing ties in the political, economic, scientific, technological, educational, defense and security fields, he noted.
During his speech he delivered following the Egyptian-Vietnamese talks at Itthadiya presidential palace, Quang underlined that it was agreed to increase trade exchange volume between the two countries to reach $1 billion.
He underscored that he welcomes meetings held between the bodies concerned on the outcome of the visit paid by President Sisi to Vietnam.
It was agreed also, during the talks, to exchange information about environment and investment opportunities in both countries besides allocating preferential mechanisms for businessmen and promoting investments in the domains of petroleum, communications and agriculture, the Vietnamese president added.
The talks tackled also enhancing the friendship relations between Egypt and Vietnam for the welfare of the two peoples, Quang reiterated, adding that boosting bilateral cooperation in the defense as well as security fields was also discussed.
The Vietnamese president said that he probed with Sisi bolstering joint cooperation in the sectors of education, culture and tourism in addition to organizing artistic activities to mark the 55th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic ties between both countries.
He further welcomed inking agreements to promote trade exchange and boost joint cooperation in the fields of agriculture and petroleum.
Quang expressed appreciation for the warm welcome he received by President Sisi during the visit which he pays to Egypt on the occasion of the 55th anniversary of establishing joint diplomatic ties.
