A mixed-use resort in Kaslik is being planned by Sam Elias, a Lebanese-Australian developer. Excavation for ‘Soul Beach Resort’ will start in July. The project is scheduled to be completed within three years.
The project will be built on a 16,382 square meters (m2) land plot, which has been leased from the Maronite Mariamite Order for 37 years, with the possibility to renew for another 37 years. The built-up area is 78,000 m2, with a seafront of 110 meters.
Investment in the project is around $85 million.
The project comprises a 28-floor, 120-room hotel, as well as a 3,000-m2 shopping mall, 220 chalets, ten restaurants, six pubs, and a yacht marina. Chalets will only be leased.
Soul Beach Resort will also have a four-level parking area, four swimming pools, 800 m2 kids' area, 1,200 m2 ballroom, and three conference rooms.
The Directorate of Urban Planning has approved the license for Saile Construction, the project’s contractor.
Middle East Architecture and Engineering Company (MEAE) is the project’s architect company. Bureau Veritas is the consultant. Karim Tabet is the project’s civil engineer.
