Sharjah-based developer ARADA has revealed plans to build a AED 24bn ($6.5 billion) master-planned community.
Covering more than 2.2 sq km, the Aljada community is expected to be the biggest ever mixed-use project in the emirate, comparable in size with Emaar Properties’ Downtown Dubai district. It will be located close to the Sharjah International Airport and its adjoining free zone, the Sharjah International Airport Free Zone.
The project will be delivered in phases with work set to begin early next year and scheduled for completion by 2025.
Plots will be based around an entertainment and leisure precinct, the ‘Central Hub.’ The districts will feature a mix of villas, townhouses, lofts and apartments, with a plenty of green spaces.
Facilities at the hub will include an urban piazza, a water feature, a children's adventure complex, skate parks, an extreme sports center, a pair of 2.2km-long linear parks and a business park.
ARADA is the real estate wing of KBW Investments, a construction focused holding company owned by HRH Prince Khaled bin Alwaleed bin Talal. The developer launched its first project, Nasma Residences, in Sharjah earlier this year.
