A number of Kurdish and Czech entrepreneurs held a commerce meeting on Saturday (July 29) in the city of Sulaimani in an effort to form close cooperation between both sides.
“The exchange of business and collaboration between the two sides will be discussed,” Kurdish businessman Dara Ali told NRT.
The bilateral conference was held under the patronage of the Consulate General of the Czech Republic in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, assisted by the Kurdish Union of Imports and Exports.
Ali, a businessman who attended the bilateral conference, said they will discuss the rate of import and export of goods to the region, seeking to control the market price.
The Czech Republic offered last year to provide the region with a number of agricultural products during a visit to the Kurdish ministry.
An announcement released by the ministry said the projects included establishing a tractor factory in Iraq’s Kurdistan Region in an attempt to improve overall farm production.
