Iran-China trade stood at $15.2 billion during the five months to May 21, 2017, registering a 41% increase compared to around $10.8 billion in the corresponding period of last year.
Eranico also cited China's General Administration of Customs as reporting that Iran's exports to China stood at $8 billion over the five-month period, indicating a close to 60% rise year-on-year.
China exported $7.2 billion worth of goods to Iran during the same period, up 24% YOY.
China is Iran's biggest trading partner. The Asian country imported $8.177 billion worth of goods from Iran and imported $10.73 billion during the last Iranian year (March 2016-17).
