The Lebanese Army Wednesday received donations from Italy and will continue to train with the Italian Army in combating terrorism.
They received riot control gear, explosive protection equipment and outfits, and equipment for crime scene investigation and first aid.
After the aid was delivered to the army at the Karantina Barracks, Italian ambassador Massimo Marotti said that the army will continue to train alongside their Italian counterparts in counter-terrorism and first aid.
Marotti hailed Italy's strong ties with Lebanon, as well as Italy's role with UNIFIL forces in south Lebanon.
The statement named an unidentified number of VAB armored personnel carriers, medium and light ammunition, and dogs trained to find explosives.
