To shed more light on Nehmeh’s mission and accomplishments, ifpinfo had the following interview with Mr. Anurag Guglani, the Chief Executive Officer (COO) of the company.
Q. When was Nehmeh established?
A. The original company name, Anton Nehmeh has roots which can traced back to 1955 in Doha, Qatar. Nehmeh today operates in Qatar, Bahrain and UAE with plans for further Middle East expansion.
Q. What are the development stages that your company went through?
A. We are proud of our journey which started humbly 62 years ago and today we are equally proud to be recognized as leading diversified business group. As years went by and experiences were gained, Nehmeh developed other businesses namely Nehmeh Enterprises & Industries and Nehmeh Corporation. Subsequently, Nehmeh was appointed authorized partners for many world-renowned brands and has made these brands leaders in the Qatari market.
Traditionally, we have focused on Industrial Solutions primarily for the automotive, construction, heat transfer, service and woodworking industries. We’ve also taken the initiative to diversify into IT & Security as well as Hospitality services.
Today, the quality endorsed group is recognized as one of the leading provider of award winning industrial solutions and offering a broad spectrum of products and services to government, municipalities, the business community at large and above all the industrial sector. Nehmeh is proud of the performance of its achievements which are continuously earned and recognized throughout the years.
Q. A success story was written since the inception of your company, what was your vision that led to achievements and success?
A. We have a rich heritage with the most humble of beginnings of the storied and documented career of our founder.
Focus and discipline is at the heart of everything we do. As a family business, we know quite well the true meaning of family and for which we continuously aspire to bring the following three families together: the family of our people, the family of our customers and the family of our partners. We do this with professionalism, respect, integrity and clarity.
Q. What can you say about the principles and values that guided the company to prosperity and sustainable success?

At Nehmeh we sell more than just products, we sell Solutions which include the full cycle of the industrial process from turnkey design and process management to training & development of standards and continues well beyond the sale with the trusted support of Service for professional services and maintenance.
Q. What are the major areas of the company’s specialization? Are there other fields you would like to expand into?
A. We have been forayed in to Construction Solutions since our inception and this is a very important field for us. We have also ventured into Automotive Solutions, Woodworking Solutions, Heat Transfer Solutions and Service Solutions. In 2016, Qatar’s first and only locally manfuctured Air Handling Units was launched which caters to the HVAC sector for the Middle East. As of Q1 2017, we have expanded into Rental Solutions to cater to the growing market demands for our products.
Q. Is there a certain strategy you are using to achieve your goals for the company?
A. We set a vision and we constantly steer to ensure we stay the course as “to become a regional key player committed in delivering innovative excellence through sustainable and diversified businesses by 2020.”
Q. What are major accomplishments you think the company has achieved that is worth noting?
A. Nehmeh has been recognized for many firsts since its inception in Qatar. As first importer of many aftermarket products like automotive batteries, paints and equipment to the first & largest showrooms for woodworking and automotive solutions in the region, and first in using latest technologies for industrial service solutions. Another milestone is also being the first manufacturer of heat exchangers in Qatar. Nehmeh is once again pioneering the local manufacturing landscape with their new range of locally manufactured Air Handling Units (A.H.U.’s) as the first & only manufacturer of A.H.U.’s in Qatar.
Q. What can we expect from the company in the near future?
A. More innovative product offerings, more choices to our value customers and more regional reach as to be able to serve them wherever they may work or reside.
Q. What plans in the pipeline can affect future development?
A. Automation of many of our internal and external processes with a goal of becoming agile, resilient and to set the path for perpetual growth.
Q. Have you ever participated in an exhibition or any event organized by IFP Group?
A. Nehmeh and IFP Group has a long-lasting relationship which has seen us participate in many of organized events. For Project Qatar, we are now taking part in our 13th consecutive edition.
Q. If yes, what have you displayed?
A. This year we have displayed products in industrial tools, industrial equipment, fixing solutions, power generators, surveying systems and ventilation solutions. Also, the highlight will be presenting Qatar’s first and only manufactured of Air Handling Units and other new partners who have selected Nehmeh to be their ambassadors. We will be showcasing our partners whom we represent exclusively in Qatar and elsewhere, such as Makita, Nehmeh Air Conditioners, Chicago Pneumatic, Rawlplug, Geo Fennel, Stampa, SDMO, Reid, U-POL, IMER, Portacool, and Koshin in addition to showcasing Dr. Schulze.
Q. What was your feedback of the event?
A. As the largest exhibition in Qatar, Project Qatar provides the right platform for our industrial solutions and our stand along with the outdoor live area have only managed to attract visitors to our pavilion but we also showcase our product applications at the Heavy Max area for the first time which was well received among the participants. We showcase our popular HVAC brands Novovent, Portacool and Qatar’s first Air Handling Unit at the Live Demonstration Theatre. Due to the appeal of this event among the industry we hope this event gets bigger and better as we lead towards FIFA® World Cup 2022 and Qatar National Vision 2030.
Q. What about this year, what will be Nehmeh’s role as Industrial Solutions Partner of Project Qatar 2017?
A. Project Qatar has always been an important event in our calendar. It provides us with the platform to showcase our brands and reinforce them as market leaders. Our continuous participation at an event such as this indicates our commitment to the Qatari construction sector in all its forms. This year, we are represented by a state-of-the-art display stand showcasing many of our world-renowned brands. We also have an outdoor area at Heavy Max with live demonstrations of many of our products for first hand product applications.
