Nasser Bin Khaled (NBK) Automobiles, the authorized general distributor of Mercedes-Benz in Qatar, is sponsoring the 14th Project Qatar Exhibition taking place until May 11 at the Doha Convention and Exhibition Centre.
For the second year in a row, NBK Automobiles is the official transport partner of the international exhibition and is supplying a fleet of luxury cars to transport the VIP guests to and from the event.
The company’s partnership with Project Qatar “reiterates its commitment to the Qatari community and supports the national economy and events that promote Qatar and enhance its position in the region”, it has said in a press statement.
During the international exhibition, NBK Automobiles has officially launched the Mercedes-Benz van, Vito, while displaying two multipurpose light trucks – Accello and Atego – as well as the Actros truck for heavy services.
NBK Automobiles general manager Khalid Sha’aban said: “Through such initiatives, we reiterate our strong connection with the Qatari community and with events that enhance the progress of the national economy.
“During this exhibition, we revealed the new Vito van for the first time in Qatar. This van will provide seamless solutions and services to companies and individuals at the same time.
“We are confident that our trucks will be a benchmark in their field and will meet the requirements and demand of the market, especially that they have proved their high capabilities and are distinguished with the latest technology and systems.”
Considered a “breath of fresh air” in the compact vans segment, the Mercedes-Benz Vito is favoured not only as a basis for individual commercial vehicles, but also as a vehicle for mobile recreational applications.
The Accelo is a “compact, robust and versatile” distribution truck with strong drivetrain to face all challenges of transport.
Made for urban distribution and service, its base makes it suitable for all kind of applications: cargo body, cargo box, beverage distributer, flatbed cargo body, refrigerator body, tipper, car rescue truck, and people lifter.
The Atego is a “robust and reliable” truck chassis for distribution and short-distance transport and comes with a distinctive compact cab that is modern and comfortable.
It has high load capacity and a “body builder-friendly set-up”, which are the basis for numerous applications.
NBK Automobiles is also displaying a tractor head of Mercedes-Benz Actros 2040 trucks, which are used for long-distance haulage, heavy-duty distribution haulage and construction haulage.
