Qatar-based Gulf Contracting Company (GCC) has marked the commencement of the structural concrete works for the first phase of its Al Majed Tower in Lusail City, Qatar.
As part of an agreement with Al Majed Real Estate, GCC held a ceremony on 21 December, 2016 celebrating the start of construction on the commercial tower, with officials from GCC, Al Majed Group and GCEO AEB Consultants in attendance.
The ceremony coincided with the commencement of the first phase of tower’s 14,000 cubic meter raft foundation concrete pour, which was expected to take 43 hours to complete.
Ahmed Al Majed, Chairman, Al Majed Group said: “We are very glad to announce our development partners for this project, Gulf Contracting Company (GCC) and Arab Engineering Bureau (AEB). We certainly look forward for this initiative to be completed and thereby became the partners of national build up."
Yousuf Al Darwish, Chairman, GCC said: “GCC has a long and proud 40-year history in the State of Qatar. Over the past four decades we have compiled an impressive portfolio of projects in Qatar and in doing so have established a solid reputation for delivering excellence. The Al Majed Tower will without doubt compliment that portfolio.”
