Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry said that the trade volume between Egypt and Malta reaches to 500 million Euros.
He added during a press conference with his Maltese counterpart George Villa that there are plans to increase the trade exchange between the two sides، given the short geographic distance between both countries.
Villa said that the two sides would enact new laws and sign agreements for the revitalization of trade cooperation between the two countries and increasing trade balance.
Shoukry said that Egypt appreciates Malta’s position and expressed understanding of the existing situation in Egypt and the path of transition in Egypt through the implementation of the July 3 road map.
He confirmed that Malta understands the Egyptian efforts to restore stability and achieve political, economic and social reform.
