Leminar Air Conditioning Industries has inaugurated its FFC-UK manufacturing line for fire-rated ducts in Doha, Qatar.
Leminar said the new line will allow it to cater to HVAC contractors’ growing requirements of fire-rated duct systems.
The installation will also ramp up the overall production capacity of the facility. At present, Leminar manufactures HVAC rectangular ducts, sound attenuators, fire dampers, VCDs and VAVs at the 25,000ft2 facility, which is ISO 9001:2008 certified and is equipped with an automated duct line and a range of other machinery.
The inauguration was commemorated by a ribbon-cutting ceremony in the presence of Ullatil Achu, general manager of Dyarco International Group, a member of Qatar’s private business Al Faisal Holding and the manufacturer’s joint venture partner; Navin Valrani, CEO of Leminar Air Conditioning Industries, Dipak Bhadra, general manager of Leminar Air Conditioning Industries, senior managers and employees.
Valrani said: “We have steadily invested in our facilities and employees, focussed on innovating our product range and developed our own brand, as part of our strategy to establish ourselves as the undisputed industry leader. With the added capacity and continued support of Dyarco, we will now consolidate our lead in sheet metal fabrication.”
Bhadra added: “With fire safety protocols and regulations getting stringent, HVAC contractors are becoming more discerning and the demand for fire-rated ducts is growing. The new line will help us serve the market even better.”
Leminar Air Conditioning Industries is the exclusive licensee manufacturer of Fenland fire-rated ducts in the UAE, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain and Kuwait. In addition to the Qatar facility, the company owns a 325,000ft2 ductwork factory in Dubai Industrial City (DIC).
