CESENA FIERA and IFEMA, two trade show organizers from Italy and Spain (the main producing and exporting countries of fruit and vegetables) and organizers of MACFRUT and FRUIT ATTRACTION respectively, have come to a collaboration agreement to create a new global exhibition brand for the fruit and vegetable sector, MAC FRUIT ATTRACTION, with the aim of developing professional industry events in strategic markets.
MAC FRUIT ATTRACTION will be held in Cairo from 4 to 7 May 2016 as part of FOOD AFRICA trade exhibition following an agreement reached with IFP Group, the largest trade fair operator in the Near East and organizers of FOOD AFRICA, and will cover the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).
The MAC FRUIT ATTRACTION MENA inaugural event at Food Africa 2016 was recently presented to the Italian press on 23 September at the Rimini Expo Centre during MacFrut 2015 which ran from 23 to 25 September, by Renzo Piraccini, President of Cesena Fiera, Raul Calleja, Director of Fruit Attraction and Kamal Ayoub, head of Research and Business Development at IFP Group.
"With this agreement between MACFRUT and FRUIT ATTRACTION the largest global network for the internationalization of the fruit and vegetable sector, MAC FRUIT ATTRACTION show was born,” said Piraccini. “Mac Fruit Attraction was born from the synergy of two world fruit and vegetable production and packaging leaders who hope to create new markets for Italian, Spanish and European exhibitors in general through organizing strategic shows in emerging markets like the Gulf, North Africa, South America and Asia.”
Kamal Ayoub, of IFP Group, highlighted the existing vast opportunities for international fruit and vegetable producers at Food Africa 2016, as Egypt has always been an active gateway for trade of fruits and vegetables as a strategic entry point to a home population of 90 million and to the larger African market. “FOOD AFRICA is the best possible place to hold Mac Fruit Attraction MENA in May 2016. The 2015 edition attracted 8,340 professional visitors and 241 exhibitors from 18 countries. We are planning to enrich the global offering of our trade show with the fresh produce sector”.
