Real estate deals in Qatar hit a record high last week with total transactions reaching QR3.48bn ($950 million) driven by huge agreements in Ain Khalid, Dafna and Al Sadd.
According to data provided by the Land Registry Department of the Ministry of Justice, sale agreements totaled QR3,487,887,699 during June 28-July 2.
Total transactions in the week before (June 21-June 27) stood at QR458,915,218.
According to the weekly bulletin issued by the department, properties included plots of land, multi-use housing, shopping centers, and residential buildings.
The biggest deal of the week was sealed in Ain Khalid involving a plot of land admeasuring 255,757 square meters worth QR1.1bn.
Another big deal was on a tower in Dafna, admeasuring 5,293sqm worth QR650m.
A plot of land in Ain Khalid admeasuring 72,773sqm was sold for QR313m.
Al Saad witnessed a deal on a multi-use building over 1,203sqm of area worth QR207m.
A similar building in Najma over an area of 2,474sqm was sold for about QR199m, while a 8,765sqm plot of land in Unaiza was sold for about QR126m.
