Endowed with rich natural resources, a diversified economy, a broad industrial base and a young educated population, Iran is on track to lead the way in the region's infrastructure and construction spending growth over the next few years. Through its privatization program and other incentives to the private sector the government is now affording greater space to this sector in alignment with the fifth Development Plan and Vision-2025. In the coming years, the cornerstone component of the country program would be developing the infrastructure in the country to ensure sustainable growth.
Project Iran, the International Trade Exhibition for Construction Materials & Equipment & Environmental Technology, is Iran’s first full-scaled construction exhibition, and Tehran’s only general construction event.
Project Iran 2015 will be held from 8 to 11 June 2015 at the Tehran International Permanent Fairground. The event will offer a dedicated business platform for thousands of leading manufacturers and exporters from all over the world and tens of thousands of importers and industry professionals from across Iran; facilitating them to leverage the numerous opportunities in Iran’s construction market, and proving to be the focal point for the country’s growing and diverse construction market.
Iran has a strong potential to emerge as a major player in the global construction market as it has one of the world´s largest natural resources reserves. To do so, there is a great need of expansion and modernization of the sector. Iran aims to utilize the capacities and experiences of international companies in order to complement the construction chain. The long-term objectives include cooperation in public housing projects, research and training of experts, production of construction materials and utilization of products of latest technology.
