Unigaz is celebrating its 58th anniversary this year! Established in 1957 under the Sidani Group, it is one of few companies in the Middle East to offer a comprehensive range of gas services and solutions to various business fields.
ifpinfo had the following interview with Ali Zhairat, Marketing Director of the company.
1) What can you say about the company’s main activities?
Importing Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), storage, distribution, design, installation of LPG and natural gas networks, commissioning and operating the whole gas system, in addition to the supply of LPG. Unigaz tailor-made solutions are designed to meet each market channel needs:
• Residential Gas systems •
Hospitality Gas systems •
Industrial / Commercial Gas systems •
City Gas Network projects.
2) How to you assess the Lebanese construction and energy sectors today?
I believe the construction industry is on the trend up. It was recorded early this year around 2,000 new apartment building are in the pipeline in various Lebanese territories in addition to the commercial projects; and accordingly with Unigaz residential / commercial gas solutions, we’re aiming to tackle these projects in attempt to promote the use of LPG central gas systems for a better standards, modern lifestyles, and most importantly for an environmental friendly approach.
3) Your history of participation in the show, how was your experience so far?
We have been participating in Project Lebanon since long time ago, and we look forward this year to grab more opportunities especially those coming from outside Lebanon.
4) Major projects your company has executed?
The sky is our ceiling, but some of the major central gas systems projects are: Al Abdali downtown in Jordan, Bismaya Housing city in Baghdad, Lusail city in Qatar, Zaitunay Bay Beirut, Lebanese village in Erbil, etc…
5) Products you will display at Project Lebanon/Energy Lebanon 2015?
We will be highlighting our four previously mentioned gas solutions. Residential, Hospitality, Industrial and City Gas Network.
6) Your expectations of the show?
Better than last year.
7) Any expansion strategies or future plans?
Expanding to more countries is always on Unigaz radar, and currently we operate in 9 cities across the Arab world and soon we will be landing in North African market as well as the Turkish market.
