Organized by IFP (International Fair and Promotions), an African exhibition for food industries was launched on Wednesday at Cairo International Conference Center.
More than 200 companies representing 25 Arab and African countries partook in the exhibition dubbed “Food Africa”.
Minister of Industry and Trade Mounir Fakhri Abdel Nour and Minister of Supply and Internal Trade Khaled Hanafi co-inaugurated the exhibition.
Meanwhile, Saudi Ambassador in Cairo, Ahmed Abdel Aziz Qattan said Egypt is the main gate for Saudi products into the African markets. Speaking to reporters while opening the Saudi pavilion in Food Africa exhibition, he said Saudi investments in Egypt total $10 billion.
It is noteworthy that some 20 Saudi exhibitors are taking part in the event. He added that the participation comes as a part of the distinguished relations binding the two countries.
