FoodAfrica Cairo 2015, The International Trade Exhibition for Food and Beverages Serving Egypt & the African Markets opens today, 6 May at the Cairo International Convention and Exhibition Center.
Organized by IFP (International Fairs and Promotions), FoodAfrica Cairo 2015 has drawn more than 220 companies from 17 countries across Africa, the Middle East, Europe and Asia.
Yet, 329 hosted buyers will attend the FoodAfrica Cairo within the Hosted Buyers Program which aims at maximizing business opportunities for exhibitors. Prominent buyers, importers, and distributors are invited from the MENA region and African states as guests of the show. They will interact with exhibitors and conclude import contracts and dealership agreements.
While the 4-day exhibition that covers all the sectors of the food industry, will provide space not only for the presentation of quality food manufacturers from all over the world, but also a premier meeting place for the food and drinks industry and a vibrant source of products for the African market.
Over just four days, exhibitors will get the chance to meet face to face with thousands of wholesalers, distributors, retailers and other industry professionals, and develop partnerships which will see their products stocked in shops and supermarkets all over Egypt, and the greater African market.
The African food market, which makes a $3.3 billion business, is considered to be one of the most important markets in the world. While most of the continent's countries depend on importing a large number of food products to meet the rising demand, top industry players around the world emphasize the need for platforms to discover new business and investment opportunities, interact with major stakeholders, share their vision, and discuss key issues concerning the future of agriculture and food in the African Continent. Food Africa – Cairo, the international trade exhibition for food and beverages serving the African market, comes to serve these needs, and provide an ideal business platform to meet with decision makers from Egypt and other African countries from trade and food industry in one place.
