Riyadh Exhibitions Company, the leading organizer of trade fairs and public events in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), organized a press conference to launch Saudi Build – Interiors yesterday (Tuesday January 13, 2015) at the Four Seasons Hotel – Riyadh. The event was attended by a group of local specialists and commercial counselors along with various addressed parties.
The KSA continues to be the region’s strongest building sector in terms of the number and size of projects lined up for completion over the next few years. With USD 784 billion worth of projects currently underway, the market offers strong growth potential to international interior and design companies. Upcoming mega-projects in the country include the King Abdullah Financial District, Kingdom City, and JAZAN Economic City. Along with these new mega-projects, the KSA has undertaken a major renovation and refurbishment program to upgrade old public buildings using sustainable products and ‘smart’ technology.
As the largest market for building interiors and fitouts in the GCC region, the KSA provides numerous opportunities across its various sectors, including commercial, residential, hospitality, education, healthcare and retail. The country’s market touched USD 3.6 billion in 2014 and is predicted to grow at the rate of 7 per cent between 2014 and 2015. It is estimated that spending on interior finishing items will grow by 13.7 per cent by 2017.
Fadi Kaddoura, Vice President – International Sales & Business Development, IFP Group, said: “As construction and real estate in the KSA continues to flourish, the growth is inevitably mirrored in its interiors and fit-outs markets. From commercial developments to hospitality and from residential to retail, spend on interiors represents approximately 10 to 20 per cent of the average project’s total cost. In direct response to this demand, REC is proud to announce a new, tailored exhibition aimed at highlighting, servicing and addressing the networking needs of the interiors and fitouts sector, Saudi Build – Interiors.”
The interiors and fitout markets in the KSA encompass internal wood works, soft and hard furnishing, furniture, accessories, home fabrics, decoration items, lighting, partitions, wall and floor coverings, and kitchen and bathroom fittings, among others. Saudi Build – Interiors has been developed to harness the attention of local, regional and international investors eager to grab their share of this lucrative market.
“Taking place from 5 – 8 April 2016 at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center in the capital city, Saudi Build – Interiors will combine the quality, reliability and international scope of the trusted Saudi Build brand with a vibrant new focus and range of supplier profiles. We are upbeat that it will emerge as an extraordinary event that is successfully able to connect trade buyers, professionals, designers, decorators and elite high net worth clientele with the finest of international styles,” concluded Kaddoura.
Key industry players and experts from around the world will convene to offer top of the line products and solutions to developers, architects, interior designers, consultants and importers as well as to luxury home owners. The structure of the exhibition sectors and the targeted visitor group will be precisely aligned to suit the needs of supply and demand, making Saudi Build – Interiors the ideal place for exhibitors seeking new leads and tapping into exciting new prospects for their business.
