Managed by GCC CIGRE and organized by IFP, the 9th GCC – CIGRE International Conference and 18th Exhibition for Electrical Equipment, GCC Power 2013 Conference & Exhibition, will be held in Abu Dhabi – UAE from 18 to 20 November 2013. In addition, Tutorials will be held on 17th of November.
GCC Power is considered one of the largest and most specialized events taking place in the electricity sector in the Gulf region. This event will be hosted by ADWEA (Abu Dhabi Water & Electricity Authority) in conjunction with the Regional Committee for Power Systems in the GCC.
GCC CIGRE (GCC Regional Committee for Large Electric System) and the International Council on Large Electric Systems held a press conference on Tuesday 12 November during which details of the event were announced.
On behalf of UAE Cigre, Eng. Salem Al Harethi announced that this year, the conference will host 800 regional and international electricity experts along with many local and international companies that will take part in the exhibition. Al Harethi added that the conference offers the ideal forum for all those concerned with the power sector to develop business relations and discuss the issues and challenges facing the power sector in the region. Yet delegates will have the opportunity to discuss the latest trends, challenges, developments and strategies to meet the region's rapidly expanding energy needs through a series of panel and technical sessions.
While the 18th Exhibition for Electrical Equipment includes everything related to the production, transmission and distribution of electricity, and gathers scores of manufacturers, distributors, contractors, engineers, technicians and other experts all under one roof.
