70 Italian companies are participating in Project Iraq 2013, the 6th International Trade Exhibition for Construction and Environmental Technology, Materials & Equipment that is held between the 28th and the 31th of October, 2013 at the Erbil International Fair Ground.
On this occasion, the Head of the Italian Embassy Consular Office in Erbil, Mr Carmelo Ficarra said that the participation of Italian companies in Project Iraq has doubled. ‘Our aim is to increase business relations with the region,’ he said.
Italian companies are currently involved in several key projects in Kurdistan region of Iraq, including in the revitalization plan of the Citadel in Erbil and individual initiatives with the region’s universities, including Duhok and Salahaddin.
Over the last several years, the Italian government has increased bilateral relations with the KRG’s including trade and investment.
