A large delegate from Emirate of Sharjah comprising Sharjah Commerce and Industry and representatives of more than 20 companies are taking part in the largest trade fair in Iraq, the 9th Erbil International Fair held between the 23rd and the 26th of September, 2013 at the Erbil International Fair Ground.
The Sharjah delegation includes H.E. Mohammed Sultan bin Houwaden, First Vice-Chairman, Sharjah Chamber of Commerce & Industry, board members Abdalla Mohamed Sharif Zaman and Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, in addition to Mohammad Ahmad Amine, the Chamber's Assistant Director General for Economic and International Affairs; and Ibrahim Rashid Al Jarwan, Director of Economic Affairs Department at SCCI, Jamal Saeed Buzinjal, Senior Information Executive and representatives of the companies participating at the show.
Sharjah Commerce and Industry encourages its members and the private sector in general to invest and do business in Iraq and its northern Kurdistan region. In a press statement, the Chamber indicates that the Iraqi region of Kurdistan is undergoing unprecedented development and it is one of the best FDI destinations in the Middle East.
Erbil International Fair is considered the largest fair in Iraq that offers a dedicated platform to meet government officials and the business community to present each other's industrial growth and explore potential opportunities.
Last year, the Sharjah Commerce and Industry also participated in Erbil International Fair 2012 and through the 'Made in Sharjah' pavilion highlighting the cost-effective business climate in Sharjah, where investment costs are considerably lesser than many other industrial hubs in the region, and can boast of tens of industrial areas which account for a big chunk of all goods produced in the region.
