Revenues from tourism and expatriates' remittances reached $4.04 billion until the end of July 2013, according to the Central Bank of Jordan ( CBJ ).
According to a statement issued by CBJ on Wednesday, preliminary figures showed an increase in the total of expatriates' remittances by 2.6% until the end of July 2013 to reach $2.159 billion.
But revenues from tourism decreased by 8.4% to reach $1.881 billion until the end of July 2013, compared to $2.054 billion during the same period of 2012, due to a decline in medical tourism and the number of visitors to the Kingdom last July.
