Iraq issued a tender to buy a minimum of 50,000 tons of wheat from the United States, Canada, Australia, Russia, Romania, Kazakhstan and Germany, a source at the trade ministry said.
The tender is open until July 14 and offers must be valid until July 18, the statement said.
Iraq made no purchase in its previous tender for at least 50,000 tons of wheat which closed on June 23.
Iraq is one of the world’s largest importers of wheat, much of which goes to supply a massive national food ration program.
