Based on its continuous success since 2008, the office of the French Agency for Export Promotion (UBI France) in Beirut in collaboration with the Grande Ecole for business in the Middle East (ESA) and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Alsace (CCI d'Alsace) in addition to MEREF ( Mouvement des Entreprises et Representations Economiques Francaises au Liban) has organized the French National pavilion at Project Lebanon 2013 to highlight the potentials of small and medium sized industries and globally renowned French groups in the fields of engineering, architecture and construction.
The participation of 30 companies in the French national pavilion is a clear indication of the great interest that the French business community shows for the Lebanese construction market on one hand, and to meet Lebanese businessmen with wide connections in the regional markets who are considered as an excellent medium for the dissemination of French experience and capabilities in the regional markets on the other hand.
The French pavilion is the largest national pavilion at Project Lebanon this year with an area of 400 square meters, divided into five sections comprising 30 companies of which 60% participate in the exhibition for the first time. These companies offer products, solutions and services, in addition to their modern and advanced expertise in engineering, construction, green buildings, renewable energy and electricity, ventilation and security systems and smart home management and timber products, ceilings and floors and lots of other construction materials.
This year the French pavilion will witness two conferences offered by Socotec and Bureau VERITAS. SOCOTEC will highlight the Lebanese law 7964 about protection and security of buildings, Bureau VERITAS will shed the light on the importance of the prevention of fires in buildings.
