At the Gala Dinner organized by IFP Qatar and held on 7 May to honor the loyal exhibitors of Project Qatar during its 10 years of achievement and growth, IFP Chairman and CEO Albert Aoun spoke of IFP Group’s deep roots in the region and the show’s success and said:
“When we launched Project Qatar exhibition ten years ago in 2004, we were almost certain that we were laying the foundation for a success story in this welcoming country, and we were hopeful that this international trade construction, building, environmental technology & materials exhibition will efficiently contribute and support the construction sector in Qatar, which was taking its steps with confidence under the guidance of the Emir of this beloved country and its wise government.
Within a few years, the exhibition space of Project Qatar expanded exponentially and the event became synonymous with the all-inclusive growth of Qatar stimulated at the beginning of the new millennium. A growth that continues to this day due to the economic diversification plans that were implemented according to the directives emanating from the vision of His Highness Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al-Thani, Emir of the country, may God protect him. And we see Qatar as an example that leads growth in the region and inspires its surrounding in its quest for the good and welfare of its citizens.
Here we stand today on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of Project Qatar and we look back to a decade of success achieved by the support of local and international companies in addition to the decision-makers of this country.
We are gathered here today to honor our loyal international, regional and local companies that successively participated in the exhibition. We also honor and thank the personalities who actively contributed to the development of the construction sector in the country and Project Qatar alike. We promise all our friends that we will stay together, hand in hand to build a promising future for Qatar, God willing.”
