The Kuwaiti government has approved an order from state-owned carrier Kuwait Airways for 25 new Airbus planes with an option for 10 others, the airline's chairman Sami al-Nisf said.
The airline also said it had signed a "letter of acceptance" with Airbus EAD.PA to buy the new aircraft.
"We signed a letter of acceptance with Airbus," Chairman Sami al-Nisf told a news conference. The 25 jets include 15 A320neo narrow body jets and 10 of Airbus's new A350-XWB widebody aircraft, he told a news conference, adding that delivery was expected 2019.
