Prince Miteb bin Abdullah, state minister and commander of the National Guard, disclosed plans to establish super specialty hospitals in Riyadh, Qassim and Taif.
Speaking to reporters after opening a conference on patient safety, he said new campus projects of King Saud University of Health Sciences would be opened in two weeks.
"The projects will help the university admit more students and contribute immensely to meeting the Kingdom's requirements of doctors, nurses and technicians," he said.
Prince Miteb emphasized the advanced standard achieved by Saudi hospitals. "The health affairs department at the National Guard intends to serve citizens by developing its medical services," he added.
He said the conference organized by King Saud University of Health Sciences was aimed at keeping health workers in the Kingdom abreast of the latest developments in the medical field.
Prince Miteb expressed his hope that the conference would present important proposals for improving health services. He stressed the role of patients in protecting their health and ensuring their safety by following the advice of doctors and taking their medication.
Addressing the conference, Saadi Taher, chairman of the scientific committee, emphasized the importance of ensuring the safety of patients.
