Saudi Arabia bought 295,000 tons of hard wheat from European Union countries, Australia and the U.S. in its latest tender, the government's grain agency said.
The hard wheat, with a 12.5% minimum protein content, is intended for shipments between March and May 2013, the Grain Silo and Flour Mills Organization said.
The average price per ton for the 240,000 tons bound for Saudi Arabia's Jeddah port was $388.47, while the average price for the remainder, bound for the kingdom's Dammam port, was $389.34.
