The Iraqi Free Zones announced it signed a contract with a local company to establish a special zone to practice commercial activities.
“The IFZ signed an investment contract with Eaamar construction company to set up a free zone to allow commercial activities in Awerej region, southern Baghdad,” IFZ director Saleh Saleh al-Qeissi said in a statement received by Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
“The contract is the first of its kind in Iraq,” he added, noting that it allows commercial activities in accordance with the Free Zones law number 3 of 1998.
