Al Jawhara City, a project of Khaleeji Commercial Bank BSC, Bahrain, is officially launched in Qatar. Al Jawhara City is an emerging urban development in the Al-Erkyah district of Lusail in New Doha. It aims to provide the highest standards of urban living with world-class medical facilities and architecturally appealing residences.
Al Jawhara City is poised to be a luxury mixed use development with lush green landscaping, offering 21st century organic living in a harmonious combination of low-rise residential housing and world class medical services. The project started its on-site development in March 2012 after gaining its approval from Qatari Diar, the government arm mandated to oversee the development of Lusail.
Mr. Abdulla Showaiter a board member of Khaleeji Commercial bank said “The Qatari market has shown clear signs of recovery early 2012. The value of projects in the country has grown at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 40% between 2005 – 2011. The impact of the forthcoming 2022 World Cup has been positive on Qatar’s estate market and will continue. General stabilization and moderate growth across office, residential, hotel and retail sectors has occurred and the property sector has been particularly boosted by the government investments on infrastructure.”
“Al Jawhara City has been developed in line with Qatar’s National Vision 2030 of sustainable development of human, social, economic and environmental pillars. With the eyes of the world on Qatar more than any other time in its proud history, there has never been a better time to invest in one of the world’s most vibrant and fastest growing economies,” continued Showaiter.
Al Jawhara City has been designed to be sustainable with careful planning to achieve reduction of ambient noise and heat generation on the green pathways from encouraging pedestrian and bicycle movement in the City. The city will be also built with an open space network to allow for views from the residential units and elevated courtyards.
Al Jawhara City will also bring a world-class medical facility to the doorstep of Qatar and its neighboring countries.
In addition to the medical facility, there will also be low-rise apartments and residences for over 10,000 families overlooking the plush green walkways, retail and community facilities such as schools for over 2,000 children, a kindergarten, a traditional souk, a mosque, and a 146-room, 4-star luxury hotel.
