The Sunni Endowment signed a contract with a Turkish company with a cost of $ 700 million to build 6000 housing units in Baghdad.
The project is to be called Dijla city, which was signed with Turkish Marmara Company for Engineering and Construction.
The Sunni Endowment will give the land free of charge, but will supervise the consultative work of the project, in addition to having 19% of the total project.
The project is expected to be finished within three years, but to start it within the coming 45 days.
It is expected that the project will cost one billion dollars; with 70% of the work power should be Iraqis.
Anatolia news agency reported the denial of the Iraqi government of preventing dealing with the Turkish companies.
Iraq government ordered its organs not to deal with the invitations extended by Turkish embassy and consulates in Iraq, but no reasons were given.
