The Ministry of Education invested almost SR 3 billion on the development of the educational sector in the Najran province, the SPA reported. Nasser Al-Manie, Najran's director general of education said, "Over the past three years, SR 2.8 billion has been spent on the construction of 307 schools."
The 134 primary, intermediate and secondary schools are located mainly in towns in rural areas and include 116 girls' schools and several Qur'an memorization schools.
