Kurdistan Construction Ministry disclosed that it will announce a project to build 5000 housing units in the three provinces of the region. The limited income families will be covered by the new project, as the ministry said. Media Director of the Ministry Farhank Mohammed Told Aswat al-Iraq that "this project is the first step in greater one for the coming years".
More details of the project shall be disclosed soon, as he said.
Minister of Construction Kameran Ahmed Abdulla announced on 15 May 2012 the intentions of the ministry to build 5000 housing units this year and distributed on the poor families in long term installments that will reach to 25 years.
He added that the ministry is waiting the approval of the Kurdish Parliament for the project that will contribute to housing problem in the region.
