Kirkuk's Directorate of Agriculture announced that the province came second in wheat production in the current year.
Kirkuk's total storage of wheat in 2012 amounted to 231, 000 tons.
Mahdi Mubarak said: "There are three wheat stores in Kirkuk but Iraq's Trade Ministry agreed on allocating two stores in Salahaddin province for Kirkuk."
Al-Wasit came first in the ranking.
